We’re hiring a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) for a full-time or part-time opportunity in West Hills. This position is within a private oncology practice focused on delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging and patient-centered care. The role is open to experienced technologists as well as strong new grads, as long as you are certified or licensed and eligible to work in California.


This is a patient-facing clinical role that requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced outpatient environment while maintaining a high standard of patient care.


Responsibilities:


  • Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
  • Prepare, calculate, measure, and administer radiopharmaceuticals safely and accurately
  • Start and maintain IV access as needed for studies
  • Perform daily quality control, camera calibration, and basic equipment troubleshooting
  • Identify image artifacts and repeat scans when clinically appropriate
  • Maintain radiation safety standards and accurate radiation documentation in compliance with ALARA guidelines
  • Screen patients for contraindications, pregnancy status, and relevant medical history
  • Educate patients on exam preparation, procedure expectations, and post-procedure instructions
  • Monitor patients for adverse reactions and escalate concerns when needed
  • Assist with patient positioning, mobility, and comfort during imaging
  • Maintain accurate documentation within the EMR and imaging systems
  • Support accreditation standards, quality assurance processes, and HIPAA compliance
  • Assist with inventory management of radiopharmaceuticals and supplies
  • Communicate equipment issues or workflow concerns to leadership
  • Participate in training or mentoring of students or new staff as applicable


Qualifications:


  • CNMT certification or active state license required
  • New graduates welcome to apply
  • Prior experience in nuclear medicine, PET, cardiac imaging, or hospital/outpatient imaging preferred but not required
  • Strong patient communication and professionalism
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a clinical environment
  • Reliable attendance and strong attention to safety and accuracy
