Talent Acquisition Specialist (Power Generation)
Location: The Woodlands, TX (100% Onsite)
Contract: 6-Month Contract (Strong Potential for Extension)
Pay Rate: $33.65 - $43.27/hour ($70K-$90K equivalent, DOE)
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (flexibility as needed)
What You'll Do
Full-Cycle Recruiting
- Manage approximately 40 active requisitions across engineering, technical, and field roles
- Lead sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer processes, and onboarding coordination
- Partner with hiring managers to define job requirements and hiring strategies
- Support process improvements alongside the Talent Acquisition Manager
Candidate & Hiring Manager Experience
- Build strong, consultative relationships with hiring managers
- Provide consistent and clear communication with candidates
- Coordinate interviews, assessments, background checks, and onboarding
Pipeline Development
- Build and maintain pipelines for engineering and skilled field talent
- Engage with trade schools, universities, and industry networks
- Participate in job fairs and recruiting events
ATS & Reporting
- Maintain accurate ATS records and candidate activity
- Track recruiting metrics and support reporting
- Use data to improve hiring outcomes and efficiency
Roles You'll Support
Recruiting will focus on a mix of technical and field-based positions, including:
- Controls, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineers
- Software/AI and Data Engineers
- QA/QC and Reliability Engineers
This role supports both blue-collar and white-collar hiring and often requires industry-specific knowledge and technical certifications.
Qualifications
Required
- 5-7+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience
- Direct experience recruiting within power generation (required)
- Proven ability to manage high-volume workloads (approximately 40 requisitions)
- Experience hiring both technical and field-based roles
- ATS experience required (Paycom preferred; Paycor, Paylocity, ADP Workforce Now acceptable)
- Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work 100% onsite with consistent attendance
- Must pass background check, drug screen, and required assessments
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and possess a valid driver's license
Preferred
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- SHRM or HRCI certification
- Experience building pipelines in technical or specialized industries
- Data-driven recruiting mindset
