Job DescriptionOur client is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join their organization. The Tax Manager will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and filing federal, state, and local tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax laws, and providing tax planning and research. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of tax regulations and a strong background in accounting and tax preparation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review corporate, partnership, individual, and other entity tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timely filing.
- Research and analyze tax issues, providing solutions and recommendations to senior management.
- Support tax audits by gathering and preparing necessary documentation and assisting in resolving inquiries from tax authorities.
- Assist in the preparation of tax planning strategies to optimize tax positions for the company.
- Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations, and assess their impact on the business or clients.
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff members and assist in their professional development.
- Manage tax compliance for various entities and ensure timely filing of all tax returns.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including accounting, legal, and finance, to ensure tax compliance and efficiency across all business functions.
- Assist in the management of indirect taxes, such as sales tax, VAT, and other transactional taxes.
- Support mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate restructuring activities from a tax perspective.
- Prepare tax-related financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with reporting standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree in Taxation or Accounting is a plus.
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or similar professional certification is highly desired
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in tax accounting, with a strong background in corporate taxation.
- In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Experience with tax research, compliance, and preparation of tax returns for various entities.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Pay Details: $100,000.00 to $120,000.00 per year
