Step into the lab as our Spacecraft Harness Fabrication Lead. Your day starts at the bench: reviewing build packages, pulling materials, and methodically routing and terminating wires that will fly. You’ll translate drawings into flight-ready harnesses for spacecraft and supporting ground systems—hands-on, precise, and repeatable. This role is 100% onsite and primarily supports second shift operations.
Role snapshot
- Build, route, lace, label, and terminate high‑reliability wiring harnesses for flight and ground assets (including racks and avionics boxes).
- Interpret and execute from schematics, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, layouts, and parts lists.
- Collaborate with a team lead and supervisors to plan work, flag risks early, and remove roadblocks.
- Document work in digital systems and uphold cleanroom, PPE, FOD prevention, tool control, and safety standards.
- Share know‑how: explain techniques to peers and mentor/cross‑train new team members.
- Contribute wherever needed to meet build schedules and quality targets.

Basic qualifications
- 4+ years of technician experience in aerospace or another high‑reliability industry.
- Current certifications: J‑STD‑001 (space addendum) and NASA‑STD‑8739.4.
- Proven fine‑detail workmanship; able to pass a hands‑on soldering and crimping test.
- Comfort with hand tools; capable of repair and troubleshooting of electronic assemblies.
- Fluent reading of schematics, harness wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, and circuit layouts.
- Cleanroom experience and consistent use of PPE.
- Proficiency with computer‑based work documentation.
- Good housekeeping, strict tool control, FOD awareness/prevention, and safety mindset.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
Preferred qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Clear communicator (written and verbal) and dependable teammate.
- Experience across MS Office applications.
- Demonstrated in‑process verification (2PV) of work.
- 4+ years using harness tooling, including manual and pneumatic crimpers.
- IPC/WHMA‑A‑620 knowledge highly desired.
Work location and schedule
- 100% onsite at one of our listed location options.
- Primarily second shift; must be able to work any shift as assigned to meet program needs.
Security and export requirements
- Role supports programs that require special access; candidates must be U.S. citizens and willing/able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret clearance (interim and/or final post‑start).
- Position is subject to U.S. export control laws; only U.S. Persons (citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) are eligible.
- Millennium is a DDTC‑registered, ITAR‑compliant company; work is performed at a facility requiring special access.
Union, shift, and onboarding
- Hourly, union‑represented position under the Cabinet Makers, Millmen and Industrial Carpenters Union (CMM&IC Local 721).
- New hires and employees transferring from non‑union roles may have to complete training within a 90‑day probationary period; continued employment is contingent on successful completion.
- Successful candidates must satisfy the company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
