Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an ICU position at a hospital in Florida, requiring a minimum of 3 years of ICU acute care experience and Cerner EMR proficiency.
Details
- 13-week contract with 36 hours per week
- Night shift position, 7p–7a, variable days of the week
- 12-hour shifts, no on-call required
- Multidisciplinary ICU serving neurological, neuro-surgical, medical, surgical, pulmonary, cardiology, cardiothoracic, and trauma patients
- Advanced critical care technology in use, including ventilators, ventriculostomies, cardiac monitors, pulmonary artery catheters, arterial lines, central lines, PICC lines, IABP, ECMO/tandem heart, Impella, BIS monitors, continuous pulse oximetry, CRRT, gastric tubes, and IV infusion pumps
- Cerner EMR experience required
- Orientation consists of two 8-hour day shifts beginning on the unit's opening week
Requirements
- Active FL RN license or compact RN license required (no pending licenses accepted)
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS (AHA-issued only)
- CPI certification required for this position
- Minimum 3 years of ICU acute care experience in a US hospital
- BSN highly desired
- Proficiency with Cerner EMR required
- US Social Security Number required
- Date of birth required for consideration
- Two manager or supervisor references preferred, verifying experience within the previous 12 months, with at least one from the most recent employer
Additional Information
- Provides comprehensive critical care to a diverse ICU patient population in accordance with licensure, certification, and regulatory requirements
- Candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
- Navy or white scrubs required
- Parking is available at the back of the hospital
