We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Construction Project Manager to join our team. As a leader in the commercial and industrial construction industry, we specialize in a wide range of sectors including hospitality, energy, aviation, and government projects. The ideal candidate will have a broad skill set encompassing areas such as cost reporting, take-offs, contract management, budgeting, and decision making. This is a permanent position that offers the opportunity to work on diverse and challenging projects, and play a key role in shaping the built environment.
Responsibilities
1. Oversee all stages of project life cycle including preconstruction, construction, and renovation phases.
2. Manage all financial aspects of projects including budgeting, cost reporting, and contract management.
3. Conduct take-offs and prepare detailed cost estimates.
4. Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
5. Manage risks and resolve issues that affect project scope, schedule, and budget.
6. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company safety and quality standards.
7. Lead project meetings and provide regular updates to senior management on project status.
8. Foster relationships with clients and stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations, and ensure their satisfaction.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management, with a strong emphasis on commercial and industrial projects.
3. Proven experience in managing hospitality, energy, aviation, and government construction projects.
4. Extensive knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal requirements.
5. Strong proficiency in cost reporting, take-offs, contract management, and budgeting.
6. Demonstrated decision-making ability under pressure.
7. Experience with Department of Defense (DOD) or military construction projects is a plus.
8. Electrical experience is highly desirable.
9. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
10. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
11. Proficiency in construction management software.
12. PMP or equivalent certification is preferred.
