Job DescriptionAre you a dynamic leader who can boost income by researching local market trends and competitors in order to identify and close business leads? You might be just what our busy hotel is looking for in our next sales manager. You'll be in charge of creating a sales and marketing strategy that includes soliciting new and existing accounts in order to reach and exceed revenue targets through outside sales calls, on-site visits and sales tours, and community networking. - Increase new business and accelerate revenue generation by cold calling, on-site visits, and sales tours, as well as engaging your local community network
- Represent property at appropriate travel industry trade shows and conferences while adhering to the guidelines of the marketing plan and budget
- Study and research local market trends and competitor activity to discover potential leads
- Establish and grow our market share by developing and maintaining relationships with major group and catering clients
- Collaborate on creating and planning the department budget with the director of sales and marketing to align overall sales objectives and strategies for the hotel
Qualifications:
- Prior experience working in the hospitality sector is required
- Demonstrated exceptional social, verbal, and negotiating abilities
- Outstanding organizational skills and time management
- At least 3 years of experience in sales management or in a leadership role in the sales department, preferably in the hospitality industry
- High school diploma or GED, and bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred
