About the Job

The Senior Planner is responsible for developing sales plans, managing inventory, submitting global buys, analyzing sales trends, identifying risks and opportunities, and preparing quarterly forecast and budget projections. Reporting directly to the Director of Planning, this role plays a critical part in supporting planning initiatives across key product categories and assisting with licensor forecasting.

This position requires strong analytical and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess advanced knowledge of retail math, sales forecasting, inventory management, and planning systems, along with advanced Excel proficiency and strong communication skills.

What You Will Do (including but not limited to):

• Develop monthly sales, margin, and inventory plans by account and category.
• Analyze historical sales performance and partner with sales teams to develop strategic forecasts and business plans.
• Reforecast and report on sales, margins, receipts, and inventory on a monthly basis, or as needed.
• Monitor open orders against sales plans and receipt flow to ensure alignment with forecast expectations.
• Identify opportunities to improve planning accuracy, inventory efficiency, reporting processes, and operational workflows.
• Support process optimization initiatives that enhance visibility and cross-functional alignment.
• Utilize data analysis and reporting insights to recommend business improvements and drive efficiencies.
• Assist with licensor forecasting and forecast management processes.
• Support ad hoc reporting, planning analyses, and other business initiatives as needed.
• Coordinate with sales and production teams on consolidated global buys.
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned to support departmental and company objectives.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor's of 5 years of experience in Wholesale Planning and/ or Buying.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Formulas, etc)
• Strong understanding of retail math, inventory management, and forecasting methodologies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate and influence cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently while meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail, follow-through, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proven ability to adapt quickly and contribute effectively within a dynamic business environment.
