Job Description

Degree in Radiologic Technology, American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) Ultrasound certification, and minimum 1+ years Imaging experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A travel opportunity is available for an experienced Vascular Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer with expertise in Siemens and Acuson imaging systems. This role requires a minimum of two years of professional experience, specifically with advanced vascular and general ultrasound applications, and certifications including ARRT, RDMS AB/OB, and RVT.

Key Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum two years of recent ultrasound vascular tech experience; no first-time travelers
  • Proficient with Siemens and Acuson ultrasound equipment
  • Certified in ARRT, RDMS AB/OB, and RVT
  • Skilled in vascular Doppler studies of upper/lower extremity arteries
  • Experience covering outpatient and emergency department imaging
  • Comfortable working independently with remote radiologist support as needed
  • Familiarity with a wide patient demographic including pediatrics through geriatrics
  • Expertise in PACS and portable ultrasound systems
  • Competent in general ultrasound areas: abdomen, OB/GYN, renal/pelvis, small parts, and vascular (carotid)
  • Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system
  • Ability to perform ancillary duties such as patient transport and assistance across modalities in a team-oriented environment

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive ultrasound studies, including Doppler vascular exams, in both outpatient and emergency settings
  • Independently manage imaging workflow while coordinating with radiologists remotely for urgent cases
  • Assist with patient movement and support within the imaging department as needed, contributing to team efficiency
  • Maintain compliance with client scheduling and attendance policies

Schedule and Assignment Details

  • Travel assignment
  • 4 shifts per week, 9.5 hours per shift
  • Evenings from 4:00 PM to 1:30 AM, Monday through Thursday
  • Strict adherence to attendance and punctuality policies
