- Assign pipeline reports to title reviewers, monitor the pipeline, and manage the title review inbox.
- Maintain clear communication with all parties involved in the loan closing process, including customers, brokers, settlement agents, and internal teams—to ensure a smooth closing experience.
- Leverage experience in loan closings, including CD preparation, to ensure accuracy and compliance in every transaction.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to collect required documents and information such as payoffs, subordinations, taxes, title, and insurance.
- Review files for compliance with state and federal guidelines, including verifying employment and validating key documents.
- Track and follow up on rate lock and document expirations.
- Ensure accurate data is submitted for CD Issuance and proactively gather fee and contact details from settlement agents.
- Monitor closing timelines and communication changes as needed.
- Adhere to compliance and internal control standards, support a diverse work environment, and complete additional duties as assigned.
Skills & ExperienceQualifications That Will Help You Thrive
- Associate degree with 1+ year of mortgage industry experience, including loan closings and CD preparation, OR
- 3 years of combined education and/or work experience, including at least 1 year in mortgage loan closings.
- Proficient with spreadsheets, word processing, and email tools.
- Strong decision-making and time management abilities.
- Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to prioritize tasks.
- Team player with a strong work ethic and reliability.
Education and Experience Preferred:
- Prior mortgage experience in mortgage closing, whether at a lender, title company, or settlement agent's office.
- Strong knowledge base of department software.
- Knowledge of product, investor, and compliance requirements.
