This Emergency Room Manager opportunity is based in Belton, MO, at an 80-plus-bed acute care facility serving southern Jackson and northern Cass counties. The hospital has undergone significant recent expansion and renovation and holds accreditations from The Joint Commission, the American College of Radiology, and the College of American Pathologists Laboratory Accreditation Program.
The role. The Emergency Room Manager provides day-to-day operational and clinical leadership for the emergency department, overseeing staff performance, patient flow, and departmental processes. This leader is accountable for sustaining a safe, high-functioning ED environment by coordinating resources, supporting frontline nursing staff, and driving continuous quality improvement within the unit. The manager works collaboratively with physicians, ancillary teams, and hospital leadership to align ED operations with broader organizational goals and to address emerging challenges in real time.
What we're looking for.
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure, active and in good standing
- Bachelor's degree required
- 3 or more years of acute care ED leadership experience within the last year (charge nurse experience in the ED is acceptable; strong ICU charge experience may also be considered)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date
- NIH Stroke Scale certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
- Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN) or Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
Schedule. This is a day-shift management role, generally Monday through Friday during business hours, with on-call responsibilities as needed.
Compensation. $44.27 - $61.99/hr plus Sign On: $25,000 Relocation Assistance: Case by Case
