Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Embark on a fulfilling contract role supporting K-8 students by providing skilled physical therapy services in an engaging school setting. You’ll work closely with a diverse student population, helping them achieve their mobility and developmental goals during the 2025-2026 academic year. This part-time, onsite role offers 10 flexible hours per week, with service times available between 8 AM and 3 PM, allowing you to tailor your schedule while making a meaningful impact.
Your work will take place across various campuses within a vibrant educational community, where you’ll collaborate with students, families, and educational teams. Mileage reimbursement is provided, ensuring your travel between sites is well-supported.
Qualifications:
- Current, valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Massachusetts
- Experience or strong interest in pediatric or school-based physical therapy settings
- Familiarity with designing and implementing therapy plans for students in grades K-8
- Ability to travel to different school sites as part of your weekly routine
- Must successfully complete fingerprinting and CORI background checks
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct physical therapy sessions to students as identified in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Conduct assessments and maintain accurate documentation of student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families for comprehensive student support
- Offer consultative services and assist in adapting curriculum materials or activities to ensure inclusive participation
- Adhere to all regulatory, ethical, and professional standards in the school environment
