Warehouse Worker

Job Description
The Warehouse Material Handler is responsible for operating power industrial trucks and machinery to efficiently move products, materials, and supplies from one area to another. This role includes loading items onto trucks, shelves, racks, and pallets. Candidates will operate both stand-up and sit-down forklifts. Interviews for candidates in the Distribution Center will be conducted across the street from the normal plant.
Responsibilities
- Operate stand-up and sit-down forklifts.
- Transport products, materials, and supplies within the facility.
- Load and unload items onto trucks, shelves, racks, and pallets.
- Utilize RF scanners for order picking and inventory management.
- Handle materials and ensure efficient production flow.
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 6 months of experience operating forklifts (stand-up or sit-down).
- Ability to lift up to 75+ lbs.
- Basic math skills for inventory and order management.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in general labor and production environments.
- Proficiency in using RF scanners.
- Strong understanding of inventory management and material handling.

Work Environment
The work environment is a dynamic manufacturing and production setting, which may involve working in high or precarious places, alongside moving machinery. Employees may experience changes in temperature and humidity, as well as exposure to dust, odors, and fumes. The environment is loud and not climate-controlled, with very hot conditions in summer and normal temperatures in winter. Shifts include A/B Shift from 6:45 a.m. to 6:45 p.m., C/D Shift from 6:45 p.m. to 6:45 a.m., and Packaging shifts with varying hours. The dress code requires steel-toed shoes, with jeans or shorts as acceptable attire.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Council Bluffs, IA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $19.00/hr.
