Job Summary
The Heating and Air Conditioning Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and servicing residential and light commercial HVAC systems. This role requires strong technical expertise in gas furnaces, central air systems, heat pumps, and propane systems, along with the ability to interact professionally with customers. The technician will determine service needs, provide pricing estimates, and complete repairs in compliance with HVAC codes and specifications.
Job Responsibilities
- Diagnose HVAC system issues and determine service needs
- Provide pricing estimates and explain repair options to customers
- Perform service and repair of central air systems, gas furnaces, heat pumps, and propane systems
- Ensure all work is completed according to HVAC codes and manufacturer specifications
- Interact professionally with residential and light commercial clients
- Maintain compliance with safety standards and company policies
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of HVAC service experience
- EPA certification
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- KY Journeyman License
- Ability to service and repair central air, gas furnaces, and heat pumps
- High school diploma
- Ability to pass a background check
- Strong communication skills
- Self-motivated with strong work ethic
Preferred Qualifications
- NATE certification
- Additional HVAC certifications
- Experience with light commercial HVAC systems
