Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with mandatory overtime as needed
Highlights:

- Focus on concurrent and retrospective inpatient clinical documentation review
- Collaborate directly with physicians, coding teams, case management, and nursing staff
- Utilize advanced knowledge of disease processes, medications, and critical thinking to identify documentation gaps
- Serve as an educator and resource to improve documentation quality and compliance
- Support accurate representation of severity of illness and risk of mortality for proper coding and billing
Requirements:
- CDIP (Certified Documentation Improvement Practitioner) or CCDS (Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist) certification required
- RHIT, RHIA, RN, RRT, CCS, CCS-P, or MD credential required
- Minimum two years of experience in an Inpatient Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialist role
- Experience in a production role within the last 12 months (not in a current leadership role)
- Demonstrated skills in analytical thinking, problem solving, and effective written and verbal communication
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate in a team environment
- High school diploma or GED required
