Job Title: Lead Mechanical & Robotics Technician

Job Description

As a Lead Mechanical & Robotics Technician, you will play a crucial role in leading, managing, and training teams of technicians. You will be responsible for installing, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining material handling equipment, such as conveyors. Your expertise in troubleshooting and repairing electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of automated conveyor systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and train teams of technicians.
  • Install, inspect, repair, and maintain material handling equipment, such as conveyors.
  • Install and troubleshoot photo eyes, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers, solenoids, Servo drives, frequency inverters, linear drives, tachs, and encoders.
  • Provide feedback on tasks in the Preventive Maintenance programs.
  • Complete assigned preventive maintenance tasks and suggest improvements.

Essential Skills

  • 2+ years of experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance on equipment.
  • 1+ year of experience leading and managing a team within the last 2 years.
  • Experience in industrial maintenance, equipment maintenance, electro-mechanical maintenance, and electrical maintenance.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Experience with automated conveyor systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Preferred candidates have experience in distribution, logistics, manufacturing, and industrial industries performing maintenance on complex systems and industrial equipment.
  • Experience in automotive, military, or industrial facilities maintenance is considered beneficial.
  • Preferred education includes an associate degree from a technical school, apprenticeship, certifications, military training, or hands-on training related to the maintenance field.

Work Environment

Work in a large distribution facility with high-speed automation equipment, predominantly with robotic components. Be prepared for performance tracking through data and numbers, without micromanagement. The role requires walking approximately 10,000 steps daily. Candidates must be open to working any 10-hour shift, with positions available for all shift

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Bondurant, IA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $34.00/hr.
