\n\nPACU Registered Nurse Qualifications\n
- \n
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (South Dakota or compact state)\n
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required\n
- Minimum 1 year of recent PACU, recovery room, or post-anesthesia nursing experience\n
- Previous travel nursing experience preferred\n
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills\n
- Ability to float to other hospital units as needed within skillset\n
\n\nPACU RN Responsibilities\n

- Deliver safe and effective post-anesthesia care to surgical patients in the recovery room\n
- Monitor and document patient vital signs; respond promptly to changes in patient condition\n
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by healthcare providers\n
- Collaborate with surgical, anesthesia, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes\n
- Educate patients and families on recovery processes, discharge instructions, and post-operative care\n
- Accurately document nursing care using facility charting systems (EMR/EHR)\n
- Support other nursing units as needed based on skillset and hospital requirements\n
