Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Social Worker position is available at a school located in Haslett, MI, supporting a diverse K-12 student caseload. This role is a contract position starting as soon as possible through June 5, 2026. The Social Worker will provide comprehensive mental health and social services aimed at improving student well-being and academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans tailored to students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and community resources to support student development.
- Provide individual and group counseling sessions to address mental health and behavioral challenges.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Maintain accurate records and comply with all relevant regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) fully licensed through LARA.
- Full Approval or Professional Certification as a School Social Worker through the Michigan Department of Education (MDE).
- No or limited licenses will not be considered.
- Must be able to work onsite consistently.
- Experience working with K-12 student populations in educational settings preferred.
Location and Schedule:
- Position is onsite in Haslett, Michigan, within the Ingham Intermediate School District area.
- Full-time hours with a student caseload spanning kindergarten through 12th grade.
