Markets:
- Copley Square Farmers Market: Fridays 11am-6pm (through November)
- Charlesgate Farmers Market: Sundays 10am-2pm (through October)
Availability: Seeking candidates for one or both markets based on schedule
About Beacon Hill Bakery: We're reimagining what artisanal food can be in Boston. While the world races toward mass production and cost-cutting, we're proving there's still a market for uncompromising quality. We craft the finest Polish pastries in the world using techniques perfected at El Celler de Can Roca (three times named World's Best Restaurant), working exclusively by advance order to ensure every paczek meets our exacting standards.
We aspire to create something rare: a neighborhood institution where discerning customers become friends, where we refuse tips because we see our clients as peers, and where every pastry honors centuries of Polish royal court tradition. You'd be joining at the ground floor of something intentionally exclusive, learning directly from an experienced entrepreneur. Role Overview: We're seeking a charismatic, well-presented individual to serve as the face of our luxury pastry brand at Boston's premier farmers markets. You'll engage with sophisticated clientele, share our artisanal story, and create memorable customer experiences that reflect our commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent Beacon Hill Bakery with grace and authenticity
- Engage customers enthusiastically about our Polish royal court heritage
- Process sales using Square POS system
- Maintain pristine product presentation and food safety standards
- Embody our brand values of tradition, quality, and refinement
Required Qualifications:
- Exceptional energy and natural charm
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable engaging confidently with discerning, affluent clientele
- Highly reliable with excellent attendance
- Ability to maintain energy and enthusiasm throughout 4 or 7 hour shifts
- Quick learner for product knowledge and brand story
- Experience in hospitality, luxury retail, or premium service environments
Professional Presentation Standards: This role requires maintaining appearance standards consistent with luxury hospitality and our premium brand positioning. Think elegant garden party or high-end boutique environment - polished, sophisticated, and approachable.
