Overview
We are looking for an individual to join our Western South Dakota Community Action Family to be a crew lead for our Weatherization Department. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in construction and be proficient in multiple trades. As a Crew Leader, you will ensure that projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the crew on construction sites.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
- Oversee weatherization tasks, including but not limited to insulation installation, window and door sealing or replacement and duct sealing.
- Supervise all aspects of the work done by the crew. Providing guidance and training in all aspects of the technical work to bring all work to required standards
- Complete required file, training and other program documentation
- Attend seminars, workshops, conference and/or other job-related training sessions assigned.
- Track and maintain CEUs as required by certifications and licenses
- Communicate with supervisor any problems, client complaints, issues at the worksite and or complications requiring additional time on jobs
Experience
- 2-year degree in a related field plus four (4) years related experience; Or High School Diploma, GED plus six (6) years of related experience; OR any combination of the above.
- Experience in weatherization and blown-in insulation preferred.
- Experience leading teams or managing projects is essential.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are required.
- Strong communication skills to effectively lead a team and interact with clients or project managers.
- Valid South Dakota driver’s license with no major violations within the past three (3) years.
