This opportunity is perfect for ICU Registered Nurses seeking a contract role in a high-acuity environment. The 13-week assignment provides exposure to diverse adult and pediatric critical care populations in a 34-bed Med Surg ICU with supportive team-based care.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the Med Surg ICU with nurse-to-patient ratios from 1:1 to 1:2
- Monitor and manage complex cases including respiratory failure, neuro surgery, sepsis, cardiogenic shock, and cancer-related surgeries
- Perform clinical duties such as titrating drips (vasopressors, paralytics, sedation), interpreting telemetry (Draeger system), and utilizing advanced equipment (CRRT, ICP monitoring)
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including attendings, fellows, residents, and student providers
- Participate in code response and rapid response teams as charge nurse when assigned
- Adhere to facility policies including fingernail and dress code standards (navy blue scrubs)
Qualifications and Experience
- Active RN licensure with minimum 2 years ICU experience
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Ability to pass a 90% score on a clinical exam during orientation (open book)
- Valid driver's license for radius compliance (within 50 miles)
- Flexibility to float within inpatient units (excluding Maternity/NICU)
- Strong critical thinking, communication skills, and a positive team attitude

- Schedule options: 0630-1830 or 1830-0630 shifts; weekend rotation every other weekend
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Candidates must not hold full-time, part-time, or PRN roles within related healthcare systems in the region
