$17.34-$29.00/hr

Part-time: 15-25 hrs/week, Full-time

We are a thriving community beer garden and bottleshop hosting events such as "Live in the Laurel " and DJ nights with openings for a FOH Teammember at Degrees Plato Taproom and Bottleshop. Come serve where your enthusiasm for craft beer, passion for serving a busy bar and exceptional customer service will shine. Our craft beers, wines and ciders are proudly paired with fresh authentic home-style Mexican cuisine made here with love every day. In this role, you’ll be the welcoming face behind the bar and serving the outdoor beer garden and indoor restaurant, taking orders and serving guests , expertly pouring and serving a diverse selection of beers, guiding guests to what we humbly believe is the best to-go beer selection in the neighborhood , constantly busing/upkeep the space and building community in one of the most charming neighborhoods in Oakland- The Laurel. Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly and provide knowledgeable recommendations on beer, wine, cider selections as well as food menu. Balance serving orders and bussing the indoor and outdoor beeryard
  • Operate POS system (Toast) to process orders accurately and efficiently
  • Serve beverages responsibly while adhering to all food safety and alcohol serving regulations
  • Manage cash handling, cashiering, and basic math calculations with precision during busy service hours
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food handling standards bussing behind all guests and cleaning in a timely manner
  • Support guest interactions to ensure a positive experience, resolving any issues promptly and professionally

Experience

  • Previous experience in food service or hospitality roles
  • Experience with food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures
  • 21 + over
  • Food Handler's Card, Responsible Beverage Service
