Job DescriptionWe are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in St. Louis, Missouri. This long-term contract position is ideal for candidates with a strong attention to detail and a solid background in accounting processes and financial management. You will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial records and contributing to the overall success of our operations.
Responsibilities:
• Manage month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring all entries are properly recorded.
• Prepare and post journal entries to support accurate financial data.
• Perform account reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial statements.
• Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure alignment between records and actual balances.
• Analyze operating data to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial audits and compliance.
• Provide insights and recommendations for improving accounting processes and efficiency.
• Assist in preparing reports for management and stakeholders.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and accounting standards.• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or related roles.
• Proficiency in month-end close processes and general ledger maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of journal entries and account reconciliation.
• Experience with bank reconciliations and financial data analysis.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with accounting software and tools.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with diverse teams.
