Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is for a Special Education Teacher specializing in serving transitional and kindergarten programs within an onsite school setting in Vallejo, CA. The role requires travel to the designated location and offers a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week. The assignment runs currently through June 11, 2026, with the possibility of extending into the next school year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of students in special education, particularly in transitional and kindergarten settings.
  • Collaborate closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families to support student growth and inclusion.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust educational strategies to optimize learning outcomes.
  • Comply with state and federal special education laws and regulations.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of student performance and program effectiveness.
  • Participate in school meetings and professional development activities as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Education or related field.
  • Valid California Teaching Credential with a specialization in Education Specialist Instruction.
  • Demonstrable experience working with special education students across multiple levels.
  • Strong understanding of transitional and early childhood special education requirements.
  • Ability to work effectively within a dynamic school environment on-site.
  • Commitment to travel to the school location as needed.
