Job Description

Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

VocoVision is partnering with school districts across Missouri to provide high-quality virtual interpreting services to K12 students for the 20252026 academic year. This flexible teletherapy role lets you work from home while ensuring deaf and hard-of-hearing students have full access to instruction and communication in the classroom.

Position Highlights:

  • Provide real-time virtual interpreting services for students during classroom instruction, therapy sessions, meetings, and school-related events

  • Facilitate communication between students, teachers, and staff using American Sign Language (ASL)

  • Collaborate remotely with educators, service providers, and IEP teams

  • Use our secure teletherapy platform to connect seamlessly with school teams and students

  • Enjoy full support from a dedicated clinical and technical team

Requirements:

  • National certification (e.g., RID, EIPA score of 3.5 or higher preferred)

  • Missouri certification or ability to meet state requirements for educational interpreting

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a school setting preferred

  • Proficient in ASL and English

  • Comfortable using teletherapy tools (training provided)

  • Reliable computer, webcam, and high-speed internet
