Position Summary

FLX Fueling Solutions is seeking experienced Service Technicians to join our growing team. The Service Technician installs, maintains, and repairs a wide range of fueling and service station equipment, including fuel dispensers, submersible fuel pumps, site controllers, card readers, point-of-sale (POS) console systems, and tank and line monitoring equipment.

This hands-on technical role diagnoses and resolves complex equipment issues, performs preventive and corrective maintenance, and delivers responsive, high-quality service that keeps customers’ fueling operations running safely and reliably.

As FLX Fueling Solutions continues to expand, qualified technicians will have opportunities for career advancement into Lead Technician, Service Manager and other leadership positions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work safely at all times and comply with applicable fire safety, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations.
  • Install, maintain, and repair fuel dispensers, submersible fuel pumps, site controllers, card readers, point-of-sale (POS) console systems, tank and line monitoring equipment, and other equipment commonly found in service stations and convenience stores.
  • Observe, analyze, troubleshoot, and determine the appropriate course of action for equipment service and repair.
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on fuel dispensing systems, service station electronics, computers, and associated mechanical, plumbing, and electrical equipment.
  • Perform factory-authorized modifications according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Respond to and resolve warranty service calls on dispensers, tank monitors, and related equipment.
  • Maintain company-provided tools, equipment, and vehicles in a safe and professional manner.
  • Follow customer-specific safety and housekeeping requirements while performing work on site.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain positive customer relationships.
  • Complete prerequisite training required to obtain and maintain OEM certifications.
  • Assist service project crews and lead technicians with equipment startup, commissioning, and testing.
  • Participate in after-hours service calls and on-call rotations as required.
  • Travel to customer locations as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Familiarity with computer systems and the ability to learn new technologies.
  • Ability to meet FLX Fueling Solutions employment requirements, including passing a drug screen, criminal background check, and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience servicing fuel dispensers, POS systems, tank monitoring equipment, or petroleum-related equipment.
  • Gilbarco dispenser certification and/or Veeder-Root tank monitor certification.
  • OEM certifications related to fueling equipment.
  • Experience with Gilbarco, Verifone, Veeder-Root, Franklin Fueling Systems, OPW, Bennett, Wayne, or similar petroleum equipment.
  • Electrical, mechanical, networking, or petroleum equipment service experience.

Work Environment

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Ability to stand, walk, kneel, bend, climb, and work in confined spaces for extended periods.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to customer sites.
  • Willingness to participate in after-hours and on-call service rotations.
  • Work is performed primarily in the field at customer service stations, fleet fueling facilities, and construction sites throughout FLX Fueling Solutions operating areas.
  • Some technicians may work remotely from a local branch and be dispatched directly from home to customer locations.
