Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A part-time Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) position is available to support K-12 students in a school setting located in Penrose, Colorado. This role primarily focuses on the elementary school (K-5) with some responsibilities at the high school level. The position offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment alongside experienced Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs).

Location: Penrose, CO
Duration: August 15, 2025 May 22, 2026
Schedule: Part-Time, 20 hours per week, split between two buildings (elementary and high school, about 7-8 minutes apart)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech-language therapy and support services to approximately 55-65 students on caseload, mainly at the elementary level (80% focus) with consultative services at the high school (20%).
  • Deliver therapy for students with speech as a secondary disability as well as manage around 10 speech-only students at the elementary level.
  • Utilize augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) devices, primarily at the high school level.
  • Collaborate closely with a team of four seasoned SLPs in a supportive and low-turnover district environment.
  • Use Infinite Campus software to accurately manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and documentation.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Current or pending SLPA licensure (pending applicants are welcome to apply).
  • Experience supporting K-12 students in school and/or healthcare settings.
  • Ability to commit to a minimum of 0.8 FTE at the elementary level or 0.2 FTE at the high school level.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills within a multidisciplinary team.
