Position Overview:
The Massage Therapist will provide therapeutic massage services designed to support pain management, mobility, recovery, relaxation, and overall wellness. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable, professional, dependable, and passionate about helping clients reach their health and wellness goals.
Responsibilities
- Perform therapeutic and wellness massage sessions based on individual client needs.
- Conduct an appropriate intake and identify areas of muscle tension, discomfort, or restricted movement.
- Develop and provide individualized massage treatments.
- Communicate professionally with patients and the physical therapy team.
- Support patients' rehabilitation and wellness goals through appropriate massage techniques.
- Maintain accurate and timely treatment documentation.
- Follow clinic policies, sanitation procedures, and professional standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming treatment environment.
- Educate clients on appropriate self-care, stretching, and recovery strategies when appropriate.
- Protect patient privacy and maintain confidentiality.
Qualifications:
- Current Massage Therapist license/certification required in the state of practice.
- Completion of an accredited massage therapy program.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic massage techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional, dependable, and compassionate approach to patient care.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
- Experience working in a physical therapy, healthcare, sports medicine, or wellness setting is a plus.
