JOB SUMMARY:

Job Title: Quality Implementation Manager

Position Summary:

The Quality Implementation Manager is responsible for ensuring products or services meet established quality standards and overseeing the successful execution of new system, processes, or projects with Sunland. This role combines aspects of quality assurance and project management, focusing on both the quality of deliverables and the efficient implementation of changes.

Key Responsibilities:

Quality Assurance:

  • Developing and implementing quality management systems and procedures
  • Establishing and monitoring quality standards, metrics, and control points.
  • Conducting quality audit and inspections to identify areas for improvement.
  • Analyzing quality data to identify trends and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards.
  • Collaborating with various teams (engineering, IT, etc.) to address quality issues.
  • Training team members on quality standards and best practices.

Implementation Management:

  • Overseeing the implementation of new systems, processes, and projects.
  • Developing and managing implementation plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Coordinating with stakeholders to ensure smooth transitions and minimal disruption.
  • Monitoring progress and identifying potential roadblocks during implementation.
  • Ensuring that new systems or processes are adopted effectively and efficiently.
  • Lead quality system implementation.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field like logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or engineering is often a requirement.
  • A master's degree in a related field or a professional certification like Six Sigma, ISO 9001, or PMP can be advantageous.
  • 5-7 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or related roles is commonly required.
  • Proven ability to manage projects, including planning, execution, and closure, is essential.
  • Experience leading teams, providing direction, and managing performance is expected.
  • Prior experience in quality assurance, quality control, or implementing quality management systems is highly valued.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with various stakeholders, including executives, team members, and clients.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), project planning tools (e.g., Monday.com), and potentially quality management software (e.g., QMS, EQMS).
  • Ability to build relationships, collaborate with others, and lead teams.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate team members, provide guidance, and manage performance.
  • Understanding relevant quality laws, rules, and regulations within the logistics and supply chain industry is important.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities, work under pressure, and potentially work evenings or weekends.
  • Ability to think strategically and develop solutions to complex problems.

  • Providing regular performance reports and updates to stakeholders.
  • Identifying and resolving quality issues and implementing corrective actions.
  • Staying current with industry best practices and emerging trends.
  • Contribution to continuous improvement initiatives.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The performance of this position requires exposure to the warehouse areas where certain areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and foot protection with, at times, distracting noise levels. Warehouse environment with extremes in temperature. Cool in the winter and warm in the summer. Warehouse noise from power equipment such as forklifts and noise from powered conveyor system.
