Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior HSE Manager to provide strategic leadership and oversight of our health, safety, and environmental programs. The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years of senior-level HSE experience with a strong background in regulatory compliance, risk management, and building high-performance safety cultures. This role will partner with executive leadership to set organizational safety strategy while ensuring operational compliance across all sites and functions.


Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop, implement, and oversee company-wide HSE strategies, policies, and objectives aligned with business goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full compliance with OSHA, PHMSA, FMCSA, DOT, EPA, and state environmental regulations.
  • Program Development: Lead the design and execution of occupational health, safety, training, and environmental programs to reduce risk and drive continuous improvement.
  • Contractor & Risk Management: Oversee contractor safety programs, including ISNetworld management, contracts, and risk assessments.
  • Environmental Oversight: Direct environmental compliance programs covering waste management, stormwater, and air quality.
  • Fleet & Asset Safety: Provide oversight of vehicle fleet safety initiatives, in-vehicle monitoring systems, and driver compliance programs.
  • Industrial Hygiene & Safety Systems: Guide programs related to industrial hygiene, confined space, multi-gas detection, and ergonomics.
  • Audit & Performance Metrics: Establish KPIs, lead safety audits, incident investigations, and management reviews to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Training & Culture Development: Champion employee engagement and safety training, including emergency response, first aid/CPR/AED, and advanced HSE topics.
  • Executive Partnership: Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing strategic insights on safety performance, compliance risks, and regulatory changes.


Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Safety Management, Environmental Science, or related field; advanced training or certifications preferred.
  • Minimum 5+ years of senior-level HSE leadership experience across industries such as oil & gas, energy, construction, or manufacturing.
  • At least 1 year of direct experience in the oil and gas industry.
  • Professional certifications such as CSP®, ASP®, SMS®, MSP®, OHST®, or equivalent required.
  • Demonstrated success building and leading comprehensive HSE programs and cultivating strong safety cultures.
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA, DOT, PHMSA/FMCSA, and EPA regulations.
  • Proven experience managing contractor safety, fleet safety, environmental compliance, and industrial hygiene programs.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills with the ability to influence at all levels.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in natural gas, hydrogen, or renewable energy sectors.
  • Certified instructor in First Aid/CPR/AED.
  • Familiarity with ISNetworld or similar contractor safety management systems.
