The role involves collaborating closely with the service leader. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care. You will coordinate care with various departments and manage services within your designated specialty area. Efficiently organizing workflow is essential, including preparing rooms and ensuring all necessary supplies and equipment are ready before procedures begin. You may also take on staff duties as needed, such as covering breaks and lunches, and assist with operational support tasks within the department. Additionally, you will help orient new colleagues and permanent team members alongside the service leader.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the service leader to ensure effective patient care.
  • Perform essential nursing functions including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
  • Coordinate patient care with other departments.
  • Organize and implement services in your specialty area.
  • Manage workflow efficiently, including room preparation and supply readiness.
  • Provide staff support as needed, including covering breaks.
  • Assist with departmental operational tasks.
  • Help orient new staff members in collaboration with the service leader.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience as an Operating Room RN.
  • Required Education: Graduate from an accredited RN program.
  • Preferred Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
  • Certifications: BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
