Customer Service Representative
Location: North Chicago, IL
Reports To: Inside Sales Manager
About the Role
We’re looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to support our Inside Sales team in preparing accurate, timely, and high-quality customer quotations and ensuring customer orders are processed correctly, pricing is validated, and issues are resolved quickly and clearly.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare customer quotes within established service level agreements.
- Perform inventory checks and validate product availability.
- Receive and process customer and rep-submitted orders
- Validate pricing against approved quotes or customer price sheets
- Enter and confirm orders accurately
- Monitor back orders and provide timely updates to customers.
- Prepare weekly backorder reports structured to highlight aging items and changes impacting customer commitments.
- Process returns (RMAs), credits, and related documentation.
- Maintain rebate tracking and agreement administration.
- Coordinate with Operations and Sales to resolve fulfillment issues.
- Assist with preparation of customer quotes as directed by Inside Sales
- Support Sales with administrative tasks and reporting as needed
What We’re Looking For
- 2+ years of customer service or order management experience in manufacturing
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage high daily transaction volume.
- Proficiency in ERP systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with Sales and Operations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
