Working shifts: Must have Flexible schedule with ability to work on weekends and overtime
Job Summary
A Food Manufacturing Worker is responsible for preparing, processing, packaging, and handling food products in a production facility. The role ensures that food is produced safely, efficiently, and in compliance with quality and hygiene standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor food production machinery and equipment
- Prepare raw ingredients for processing (weighing, mixing, cutting, etc.)
- Follow recipes, production schedules, and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Package finished food products and label them correctly
- Inspect products for quality, freshness, and consistency
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment
- Follow food safety regulations and hygiene standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP)
- Report equipment malfunctions or safety issues to supervisors
- Assist with loading, unloading, and storing raw materials and finished goods
- Keep accurate production and quality control records
Required Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred but not always required)
- Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
- Ability to follow instructions and work in a team environment
- Good physical stamina and ability to stand for long periods
- Attention to detail and quality control
- Basic math skills for measuring and weighing ingredients
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in food production or manufacturing
- Knowledge of HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points)
- Experience operating food processing equipment
Working Conditions
- Food processing or factory environment
- Exposure to hot, cold, or refrigerated areas
- Standing for extended periods and repetitive tasks
- Use of PPE such as gloves, hairnets, masks, and safety gear
- May involve shift work, including nights, weekends, or overtime
