Job DescriptionRegistered Nurse (RN) – Group Home / Residential Care

Locations: Brooklyn
Schedule: Monday–Friday | Flexible start times (8–4, 9–5, or 10–6)
Type: Full-Time | Contract with opportunity to become permanent

We are seeking a compassionate and clinically strong Registered Nurse (RN) to support adults with developmental and physical disabilities in community-based group home and residential care settings. This role is ideal for nurses with relevant community-based experience who are looking for meaningful, relationship-focused work—without nights or weekends.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform ongoing health assessments and monitor resident conditions

  • Administer medications and treatments; ensure accurate and timely documentation

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and families to develop and update care plans

  • Provide health education and training to direct care staff

  • Respond to medical concerns and emergencies in accordance with protocols

  • Ensure compliance with nursing, residential care, and regulatory standards

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license

  • Minimum 1 year of nursing experience

  • Experience in group home, residential care, home care, long-term care, or community health

  • Strong clinical judgment and assessment skills

  • Excellent communication, organization, and documentation abilities

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team

  • Compassionate, dependable, and resident-centered approach to care

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Experience supporting individuals with developmental and/or physical disabilities

  • Experience with medication administration and staff education in non-hospital settings

  • Comfort working across multiple residential sites within a borough
