Job DescriptionJob Title: Warehouse/Forklift Operator Job Description
Operate powered industrial trucks to load and unload materials and deliveries and move them to and from storage areas, machines, and loading docks, into railroad cars or trucks or storage facilities. Forklift Operators will be handling construction materials such as shingles, plywood, insulation, and plumbing supplies. They will use a scan gun for inventory counts and inventory maintenance. The role involves working as a team with other warehouse associates to provide accurate and speedy customer service. Additionally, the role includes some customer service responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Operate powered industrial trucks to load and unload materials and deliveries.
- Move materials to and from storage areas, machines, and loading docks.
- Handle construction materials including shingles, plywood, insulation, and plumbing supplies.
- Use a scan gun to perform inventory counts and maintain inventory records.
- Collaborate with other warehouse associates to ensure efficient and accurate customer service.
- Provide customer service as needed.
- Drive a box truck after the contract role, requiring 1 year of box truck driving experience.
Essential Skills
- Previous forklift experience (sit down).
- Warehouse experience.
- Proven attention to detail, teamwork, and great attendance and reliability.
- Experience using an RF scanner gun.
- Ability to unload trailers by hand and lift up to 50 lbs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- 1 year of box truck driving experience.
- Flexibility with work hours, including early starts and late finishes.
- Ability to commute within the local area and to Bend.

Work Environment
The position is based in a smaller branch operation, known for its high sales performance. The working hours are Monday to Friday from 7am to 4:30pm, with flexibility required to stay until work is completed. On average, employees work 45-48 hours per week. Long-term driving roles may start as early as 4am or 5am. The work environment emphasizes teamwork and efficiency.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $19.50/hr.
