Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work, active Social Worker license and minimum 1+ years School Social Work experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A part-time social worker opportunity is available in the education setting, focused on supporting young students aged K5 with moderate to intensive behavioral needs. This role is based in Cartersville, GA, and offers a dynamic travel assignment within local schools for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Location: Emerson Elementary School, Emerson, GA
Assignment Dates: August 5, 2026 May 26, 2027 (with potential pre/post planning days)
Hours: Part-time, approximately 15 hours per week
Caseload: Around 24 students across four classrooms (two primary and two intermediary)

Qualifications and Experience:

• Georgia Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with Educator Certification required
• Previous LCSW experience in school settings is highly preferred
• Experience working with children who have moderate to intensive behavioral challenges
• Strong communication and collaboration skills working with educators, parents, and support staff

Responsibilities:

• Provide counseling and social work services tailored to young students with behavioral needs
• Collaborate with teachers and school staff to develop individualized plans to support student success
• Conduct assessments, develop interventions, and maintain documentation in line with school policies
• Support students emotional, social, and behavioral development in a classroom environment
• Engage with families and outside resources to coordinate comprehensive care
