Qualifications of Orthopedic Physician Assistant:
- Education: Master’s from an accredited PA program
- Licensure: Active NY PA License. Must be Board Certified
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of Physician Assistant experience in an Orthopedic clinical setting required.
- Technical Skills: eClinicalWorks proficiency.
- Soft Skills:
- Patient-centered communication.
- Collaborative care coordination.
Key Responsibilities of Orthopedic Physician Assistant:
- Conduct orthopedic evaluations (acute injuries/chronic conditions).
- Assist in clinic-based procedures (joint injections, aspirations).
- Develop post-op care plans and monitor recovery.
- Order/interpret diagnostic imaging (XR/MRI).
