POSITION OPENING

Lead Preschool Teacher

(GSRP)

2026-2027 School Year


Required Qualifications:

  • A valid Michigan teaching certificate and an Early Childhood Education (ZA) or Early Childhood-General and Special Education (ZS) endorsement, Birth-K, or PK-3 endorsement; or A bachelors degree in early childhood education or child development with a specialization in preschool teaching. The transcript will document a major, rather than a minor, in child development or early childhood education.
  • Must be familiar with Early Childhood Standards and Benchmarks
  • CPR certified, preferred
  • Meet requirements for a background check and fingerprinting


Job Requirements, Knowledge, and Skills:

  • Experience working with early elementary age children in a preschool setting
  • Experience working with emergent curriculum approaches
  • Passionate about providing excellent daily care, initiating ideas and activities, and collaborating with a team of educators
  • Comfortable supporting and engaging parents and families
  • Skilled in communication, both written and verbal
  • Must be flexible and willing to help out where needed
  • Working under direct supervision of Preschool Director
  • Ability to practice a team approach.


Salary: commensurate with experience and education.
