About the Position:
Our consultants work on a diverse portfolio of engagements, developing and implementing strategies to help clients achieve their missions while teaching them sustainable ways to effectively achieve outcomes.
Responsibilities will include:
- Build lasting relationships with clients while helping them dissect and solve problems
- Partner with senior level consultants to develop project approach, execute project approach, and revise approach as necessary
- Manage and support client project tasks and/or manage small project teams to completion by developing task lists, assigning tasks, and coordinating activities across team members
- Collect and analyze quantitative and qualitative data (through research, interviews, surveys, observation, etc.) to capture the current state of the client's mission and recommend best practice alternatives for a future state
- Design and create communications plans to influence stakeholder behavior
- Design effective communications products that simplify complex concepts, leverage visuals and graphic design, achieve project outcomes, and increase understanding of project activities and objectives
- Identify and document key insights from client interactions and data collection to propose changes for organizational improvement
- Write strategic plans that apply critical thinking to material gathered during research, stakeholder engagements, and facilitated alignment sessions
- Design, develop, and/or present client deliverables, applying basic consulting principles and frameworks (may include creating the deliverable structure and approach, writing, editing, formatting, and enhancing with graphical or technical software)
- Lead and support stakeholder interviews and other stakeholder engagement activities
- Provide project management support, to include managing resource-planning spreadsheets, working with senior-level consultants to refine project plans, performing quality control reviews on client deliverables, and drafting and submitting status reports to clients
- Provide planning support for interactive conferences, strategy meetings, working group sessions or other events; this may include helping to design the event, coordinating event logistics, facilitating discussions, and conducting knowledge capture during the event to ensure key takeaways are documented
Required Qualifications:
- Must currently hold an active DoD Secret clearance (or higher)
- Bachelor's degree
- Five (5) to ten (10) years of relevant experience in management consulting, organizational development, strategic planning and implementation, communications, change management, and/or facilitation
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Strong meeting design and facilitation skills
- Demonstrated experience in strategic communications, customer experience (CX), or business process re-engineering - including developing and executing communication strategies to engage stakeholders, designing intuitive customer-centered solutions to improve adoption, and streamlining processes to enhance efficiency and performance
- Willingness to work full-time at client sites in the Washington metropolitan area as needed; occasional travel may be required outside of the Washington, D.C. area
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
- Demonstrated experience working within or in support of the Defense Security Enterprise, with a strong understanding of its policies, frameworks, and operational priorities
- Experience supporting various IT initiatives with a strong emphasis on applying change management frameworks and concepts in the areas of strategy development and implementation, process improvement, and strategic communications with federal government agencies or DoD organizations
- Certification in change management, Lean-Six Sigma, PMP, or other management consulting-related discipline
- Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) tools and advising clients on their use

Salary Range:
The annual salary range for this position is $85,000 - $120,000.00. Your salary may vary within this range depending on a wide range of factors, including (but not limited to) your qualifications, skills, experience, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
