Requirements:

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

MGT + Ednetics is currently looking to fill a full-time Account Manager II position in our Portland, Oregon location. The Account Manager’s responsibilities center on developing long-term relationships with a set of new and existing customers while identifying and developing sales opportunities. Account Managers act as a liaison between customers and cross-functional internal teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs. They must maintain a strong understanding of our product portfolio, services, and business practices to effectively guide customers through the full sales cycle and create a trusted-advisor relationship. Additionally, Account Managers will work closely with and build collaborative relationships with manufacturer partner sales reps. A wide degree of creativity and latitude in job responsibilities is expected.


In this role, your essential duties and responsibilities are:

  • Identify and develop sales opportunities in new and existing accounts.
  • Develop and maintain long-term customer relationships as a trusted advisor.
  • Assist customers through in-person meetings, e-mail, and phone contact.
  • Develop product and services knowledge to answer customer questions.
  • Create and maintain sales forecasts as well as other key account metrics.
  • Coordinate, write and deliver quotes, RFP responses, and other customer facing documents.
  • Coordinate with other departments for various sales support needs.
  • Team with manufacturer partner sales reps to build pipelines and close deals.
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives.
  • Be present in-office. Home office opportunities may be available up to 20% of the position’s schedule with reliable home office internet service.
  • Regional travel at 30-50% overall is expected.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • Five or more years of experience in the IT industry required.
  • Proactive, self-starter with the ability to build new relationships required. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are fundamental to this role. Notable presentation skills in small and large audience settings required for success.
  • Strong customer service and relationship management skills. Positive, friendly attitude required for success. Understanding of the Pre-Sales, Customer Support, and project scope creation processes.
  • The ability to comprehend and follow detailed instructions and process requirements. Detail oriented with strong organizational skills. Deadline driven, with ability to prioritize requirements is a must. Resourceful and flexible to job needs.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word, Visio, and Excel.
  • Familiarity with Cisco Systems products and other MGT + Ednetics portfolio preferred. Cisco, HPE, and other industry certifications are desired. Completion of additional industry sales certifications expected as part of job responsibilities.
  • Understanding of the USAC E-Rate program a plus.
  • Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP/CRM systems to manage projects, track time, and work cases is strongly desired.
  • Experience in K-12, higher education, state, and local government technology environments desired.
  • Strong understanding of state contract vehicles desired.
