Competitive Salary

  • Start your career at $27.07/hr, with a raise to $28.39/hr after 12 months.

Flexible Schedule

  • Initial training occurs Monday-Friday on 1st Shift (6am-2pm) for up to six months, before transitioning to 2nd (2pm-10pm) or 3rd Shift (10pm-6am).

Your Role

  • Perform production welding and repair castings to meet 'Class A' standards, ensuring FPI and X-Ray acceptance.
  • Occasionally execute maintenance and fixture welding using a range of alloys such as aluminum.
  • Fabricate copper backups crucial for welding operations.
  • Skillfully manage the production AC/DC power source and intricacies of the weld torch components for various jobs.
  • Decide on weld wire alloy types and sizes suited to specific tasks.
  • Establish correct power source settings and gas settings for welding torches and backups.
  • Seamlessly blend welds needed for repair/production castings.
  • Prep welds as necessary and handle finishing, rework, and metal cleaning operations as part of the metal cell operator (MCO) responsibilities.

Core Requirements

  • Possess a High School Diploma or GED equivalency.
  • A minimum of two years of TIG welding experience is essential for success.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Would have completed Welding Vocational Training.
  • Exhibit proficiency in manual Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) with remote foot control expertise.
