The Director of Marketing will be a visionary leader responsible for architecting and executing the marketing strategy for a portfolio of award-winning restaurants. This role will drive brand equity, revenue growth, guest engagement, and market expansion across multiple regions. Reporting directly to the CEO/President, the Director will lead a multidisciplinary marketing organization spanning brand, growth, retention, public relations, creative, social, and digital disciplines.


The Director of Marketing will be both strategist and operatorequally comfortable setting bold market ambitions, rolling up their sleeves to execute, and inspiring cross-functional teams to deliver measurable results. This position requires exceptional leadership, hospitality expertise, and proven experience driving omni-channel marketing programs at scale. From strategic planning to design execution and everything in between, we are looking for someone that is highly dynamic and capable of doing it all today until we grow the department.


Reports to: President & Ownership


Metrics of Success:

  • Increase guest engagement scores (email open/click-through rates, loyalty program participation, repeat visit frequency) year-over-year.
  • Grow brand awareness in existing and new markets, measured by social reach/engagement, PR impressions, and earned media value.
  • Deliver a defined return on marketing investments while keeping campaigns within 5% of the annual budget.
  • Build and retain a high-performing marketing team with clear roles, succession planning, and retention rates above industry average.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:


Strategic Leadership & Growth

  • Own and drive a holistic, multi-brand marketing strategy to achieve aggressive growth, guest loyalty and business goals.
  • Develop and implement omni-channel marketing plans, launching new channels, optimizing existing ones, and tailoring strategies for diverse markets.
  • Lead brand positioning efforts to strengthen market leadership and ensure alignment with the companys culinary philosophy and guest experience vision.
  • Establish data-driven frameworks for measuring ROI, tracking KPIs, and adapting strategies for maximum impact.
  • Develop, review and optimize annual marketing budget; ensuring monthly budgets are adaptable and tracking to budget.
  • Partner closely with VP team to align marketing initiatives with business priorities.
  • Responsible for weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual executive level reporting of KPIs and appropriate metrics to Ownership, President and key stakeholders such as investors, hotel partners, operators and peers.


Team Leadership & Organizational Development

  • As the number of restaurants grow, build, scale, mentor, and retain a high-performing marketing team, including remote teams and agency partners.
  • Foster a solutions-first, collaborative culture rooted in accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure all hiring, coaching, performance management, and termination practices follow HR best practices and comply with company policies and employment laws.
  • Lead succession planning and resource allocation to position the company for sustained growth.
  • Oversee any agencies and marketing vendors to ensure strategic alignment, deliverables and timelines.


Brand Management & Creative Direction

  • In collaboration with the President, Founders and Chief Marketing Office, serve as chief steward of the brands, ensuring consistent voice, visual identity, and guest-facing experience across all touch points.
  • Guide creative direction for campaigns, menus, merchandising, and promotional materials.
  • Perform design execution for social posts, email communication, internal comms, pitch decks, regular business presentations, LTOs and more
  • Lead high-profile brand activations, chef collaborations, and menu launches.
  • Perform brand audits for consistency and accuracy in all inward and outward facing communications.


Digital & Performance Marketing

  • Develop and oversee digital marketing initiatives including SEO/SEM, paid media, email marketing, social campaigns, and web optimization.
  • Manage the marketing tech stack (CRM, marketing automation, analytics tools) to enable scalable, measurable campaigns.
  • Leverage analytics to uncover insights, optimize spend, and maximize engagement.


Public Relations, Social Media & Content

  • Direct PR strategy and manage relationships with agencies, influencers, and media outlets.
  • Develop, approve and oversee market-specific PR, press releases, and crisis communications.
  • Drive high-impact social media programs, influencer partnerships, and user-generated content campaigns to grow brand awareness and engagement.
  • Be responsible for social postings and content, including all social media calendars and annual marketing / promotional calendars.
  • Curate and coordinate relationships with partners and vendors to develop and oversee digital assets, including photography, video and more and ensure the digital voice is representative of each brand as defined by its identity.


B2B & Partnerships

  • Architect demand generation programs to drive partnerships with hotel/resort operators, event venues, and strategic collaborators.
  • Represent the brand at industry conferences, summits, and trade shows.
  • Develop B2B content such as white papers, case studies, and thought leadership pieces to position the company as an industry leader.


Customer Experience & Engagement

  • Lead initiatives to enhance guest engagement before, during, and after the dining experienceboth on-premise and through digital channels.
  • Direct guest feedback programs and online reputation management strategies.
  • Implement loyalty programs and retention strategies that build long-term brand advocacy.
  • Complete all other duties as assigned.



REQUIREMENTS:


  • 5+ years progressive marketing leadership experience within hospitality.
  • Proven track record in multi-brand, global marketing leadership.
  • Deep expertise in omni-channel marketing, digital strategy, PR, and brand storytelling.
  • Exceptional leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Preferred experience in design work including graphic programs such as Adobe photoshop, illustrator, indesign, canvas and more
  • Fluency in English required; Spanish strongly preferred.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as business needs require.
