Job DescriptionJob Title: Senior Property Accountant Compensation: $75,000-$90,000 a year DOE Location: Lake Oswego, OR Job Type: Direct Hire, Full Time, Fully Onsite We're teaming up with a property firm to find a Property Accountant to join their dynamic team. If you have accounting experience and are ready to dive more into the real estate world, this role is perfect for you. You'll play a key part in managing financial records and preparing statements for a diverse property portfolio. It's a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a growing industry! Responsibilities:
- Assist with month-end processes and journal entries.
- Review general ledgers and help prepare monthly financial statements.
- Analyze income and expenses, providing variance explanations.
- Aid in reconciling bank accounts and processing mortgages.
- Manage tenant leases and CAM reconciliations.
- Process invoices, support check runs, and document procedures.
- Contribute to special projects and follow regulatory guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, including at least one year in property accounting
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred)
- Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with a strong focus on Excel and Yardi (required)
- Comfortable working in a professional and collaborative environment
- Excellent communication skills with a strong ability to problem-solve
- Highly detail-oriented with the ability to manage deadlines effectively
- Quick to adapt and a strong team contributor
- Prior experience handling month-end close processes
