An opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse in the Emergency Room to support a busy, fast-paced department. The role involves working nights in a high-acuity setting that features trauma bays, behavioral health rooms, and cardiac monitoring. The position is a 15-week contract offering a dynamic environment where teamwork and quick decision-making are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care in a 28-bed ER.
- Manage patient assessments, treatments, and monitor critical conditions in trauma and cardiac units.
- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure timely patient turnover.
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to department protocols.
- Participate in orientation and employee health appointments as required prior to starting.
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license with Hawaii state licensure required before assignment start.
- Proven experience in emergency nursing.
- Ability to function efficiently in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills are essential.
Schedule:
- Night shifts, working three 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours weekly after orientation).
- Attendance mandatory for orientation week and employee health appointment prior to start.
