Job Description
A Teacher Assistant supports classroom teachers in providing high-quality education and fostering a positive learning environment for students. Responsibilities include helping to prepare instructional materials, assisting with classroom management, and providing one-on-one or small group support to students who need extra help. The Teacher Assistant will also supervise students during recess, lunch, and help maintain classroom organization and safety. Ideal candidates should possess strong communication and organizational skills, demonstrate patience and empathy, and work collaboratively with educators and staff.
Previous experience working with children or in educational settings is preferred but not required. Experience in a Montessori classroom is a plus. A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required, and some positions may require additional certifications or training.
Must be dependable, enjoy working in a high pace environment, and will do additional training to be better prepared in the environment. Candidate must be 21 years of age, pass all background checks which include TBI fingerprinting, and offender registries.
