Salary Range: $76,000 - $116,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures.
• Analyze tooling performance, identify root causes of failures, and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with production and design teams to ensure tooling meets product specifications and manufacturing requirements.
• Manage the procurement, maintenance, and inventory of tooling components.
• Implement and integrate new tooling technologies and manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and quality.
• Provide technical support and training to production personnel on tooling setup, operation, and troubleshooting.
• Conduct cost analysis and develop budgets for tooling projects and upgrades.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in tooling design, fabrication, or maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, Mastercam) for tool design and simulation.
• Strong understanding of machining processes, materials science, and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and optimize tooling performance and lifespan.

Bonus Qualifications

• Experience with advanced simulation software (e.g., FEA, mold flow analysis).
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or demonstrated experience with continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency in CAM software and understanding of CNC machining processes.
• Hands-on experience with tool build, maintenance, or repair.
• Project management experience in tooling development or capital equipment projects.
