Job DescriptionT&T Pet Care Services is seeking a reliable and responsible Part-Time Van Driver to join our team for transporting pets between throughout Dane County. This position is ideal for someone who loves animals and enjoys driving. As a pet transport driver, your primary responsibility will be ensuring the safe, comfortable, and timely transportation of pets of all sizes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely transport dogs between two doggy daycare locations and to appointments in Madison.
- Ensure pets are properly secured in the vehicle and comfortable during transit.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle at all times.
- Follow all traffic laws and ensure the safe driving of the vehicle at all times.
- Communicate with daycare staff to coordinate pick-up and drop-off schedules.
- Handle pets of all sizes, providing a calm and comforting environment during transport.
- Assist with loading and unloading pets from the vehicle as needed.
- Report any issues or concerns with the vehicle or pets promptly to management.
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Must be reliable and punctual with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to safely handle and transport pets of various sizes and temperaments.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
- Prior experience working with animals (preferred but not required).
- Ability to work independently and responsibly.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and assist with pets, sometimes up to 75 lbs.
- Must be able to sit and drive for extended periods of time.
Schedule:
- Part-time position predominantly in the late afternoon to early evening.
- Ideal candidates will be available Monday-Friday.
Compensation:
- Competitive hourly pay, based on experience.
