Job Summary:
The Marketing Specialist plays a key role in supporting and executing marketing initiatives that enhance brand awareness, member engagement and community presence. This position focuses on traditional marketing coordination, assisting with program and event execution, internal communication and project management. The Marketing Specialist is responsible for orchestrating and delivering a variety of campaigns and programs, ensuring timely execution, consistency with brand standards and alignment with strategic marketing goals.
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage a range of member-facing programs.
- Oversee the development, promotion and execution of seasonal and annual campaigns.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop and distribute internal communications supporting marketing and organizational goals.
- Monitor campaign performance and track participation or engagement metrics for programs, promotions and online reputation.
- Ensure all marketing efforts adhere to brand guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Support the Marketing Department in project management, timeline tracking and cross-functional coordination to meet deadlines and strategic marketing goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Necessary Experience and Qualifications
- An Associates degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, English, Journalism or related field, or 3+ years equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Broad knowledge of, and practical experience with, credit union or other financial institution operating areas, functions, products and services a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel and Outlook
- Well organized, efficient, self-starter able to work independently. Detail-oriented, in order to generate accurate and precise work.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to conduct thorough research. Provide workable recommendations and solutions to problems.
- Ability to simultaneously handle multiple tasks and change priorities in an efficient and effective manner.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to exercise a high degree of independent judgement demonstrating consistent leadership traits and supporting overall marketing objectives.
- Adaptability and ability to work under stress.
- Proficient in AP Style writing a plus.
- Proficient in social media channels required.
