Make a meaningful impact this summer as a paraprofessional supporting Extended School Year (ESY) students. This contract opportunity near Maple Grove, MN, is ideal for individuals who are dedicated, have proven experience assisting students in educational settings, and meet the state’s high qualification standards. Assignments are tailored to student needs and are offered from June 15, 2026, through June 25, 2026, Monday through Thursday, with shifts from 8:55 am – 12:25 pm. While the ESY role has a defined end date, there is potential for future opportunities in the upcoming school year.

Key qualifications:

• Must be “highly qualified” under Minnesota requirements via one of the following:
  • Successful completion of the MN Para Educator Exam (documentation required)
  • 60+ college credits (official transcripts must be submitted)
• Previous paraprofessional or instructional assistant experience, ideally within a school or special education setting
• Strong communication skills and ability to foster positive, supportive relationships with students
• Professionalism, adaptability, and the ability to quickly integrate into a school team

Core responsibilities:

• Support ESY students in accordance with individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate with educational staff to encourage active participation and learning
• Provide individualized and group assistance to help students achieve their goals
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment
