Job Description
Responsibilities Include:
- Oversight of students enrolled in the practical nursing program.
- Act as a mentor and a point of reference for the student body.
- Support the student body and coach them through intensive, skill-enhancing activity.
- Ensure the student body is engaged with their work, consistently evaluated, and develops at a strong rate.
- Make sure the student body works in compliance with all relevant safety standards and regulations.
- Work with academic leaders within the department to assess the progress of the student body.
- Hold regular office hours to provide student advisement and actively participate in departmental and institutional academic committees.
Qualifications:
- Must have a master’s degree in nursing from an accredited institution. Alternatively, a candidate with a bachelor’s degree seeking a master’s degree in nursing would be acceptable.
- 3+ years of RN experience in numerous clinical areas.
- An active New York Registered Nurse license.
- Must have CPR certification.
- Advanced written and communication skills.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Advanced mentoring skills.
